From Then To Now – Dorndryad’s Blog – Who is Dorndryad? (Blogging 101 Assignment 1).

Hello November, Hello Blogger’s!

So, yes, I signed up for Blogging 101 and the Writing 101, Why? you ask; As I am re-introducing myself as a Freelance Writer, after being out of the public loop for sometime.
Naturally, in this time, blogging and the internet have progressed vastly, therefore with my confidence shifty, I thought best to approach this as if I were a novice.
Although, I have had Dorndryad’s blog for some year’s, the idea as it began Then, is Now utterly different, I will explain more on this further on.

I’ve been published more than once, and recently gotten a Book Cover Blurb gig, though unpaid in a monetary sense, it will be crucial for my re-introducing myself, as professionally I am still rusty, most particularly on the forging technical front.

I have decided to keep Dorndryad’s Blog: for personal writing’s, news, musing’s…with a overhaul of it’s focus/use, as it began when I was just beginning to provide Spiritual Training, Writing from a Spiritual perspective, Poetry, and was really just a place to connect, even with myself on an inner level. It shall now have some pages removed, all concisely reviewed, rearranged to meet more appropriately who I am and What I am today.

As for my new professional Graphein Freelance WordPress;

This will be reserved for professional projects only, blogging about news from Graphein Freelance, clips, snippet’s of work accomplished, page’s for specific Author’s, Book’s, Magazines et al that I have or will be working for/with.

Firstly, here is a small snippet of Who I Am.

Dorn Simon-Sinnott …

…was born in the oldest recorded town in Britain, the Pre-Roman town of Camulodunum, now known as Colchester in 1968.
(The earliest record of the town’s existence is a reference by the Roman writer, Pliny the Elder in AD77).

Dorn and her family lived briefly in New Jersey, USA. before returning to the East Anglian region of England.
It was there that Dorn began writing as early as Seven years old, mostly writing poetry.
This developed into all forms of writing during the following twenty years.
Relocating to Ireland in 1988, Dorn has lived in counties Wicklow, Leitrim, Caven, Dublin City Southside, and currently resides in the Art infused town of Wexford, in the sunny South-East.
Since 1993 she has written daily for herself, as well as for various publisher’s Anthologies, Magazines, Journal’s, Newsletter’s, Written Assignments and online.
In doing so, incorporating this skill into her various media based projects and career path’s; including Broadcast Media Production; running her own Digital Video Company ‘Adorn Productions’ during the first few years of the new millennium, and Tutoring Transition Year Students in TV Production from concept, screenplay/script to production fruition.

Dorn is a Torchbearer in the Covenant of Hekate, having previously contributed to the Avalonia Published Anthology; ‘Hekate: Her Sacred Fires’, alongside regular work published in the print journal ‘Isis-Seshat’ of the Fellowship of Isis, also in the online eZine ‘Mirror of Isis’, and in the forthcoming book publication, ‘Bosom of Isis’, also from Avalonia.
Dorn recently refreshed her Freelance writing skills, to create Graphein Freelance.
Dorn is an Adept in the Fellowship of Isis, has a Chartered Iseum, ‘Iseum of Hekate, Phosphoros, Soteira & Psychopompos Hermeneus’, and is currently undergoing her Temple Priestess training within a FOI Foundation Centre Lyceum.
Dorn considers herself an eclectic Witch, Pagan, with current interests in Pre-Hellenic cultures worshipping Hekate.
Along with The Morrighan a’tapping and a’rapping at my chamber door!

So, there you have it 🙂
